Meditation is a turning inward upon oneself: the figure wraps around itself like a leaf, in search of a deeper integration with nature, of feeling part of it. The gaze is introspective, the eyes closed to emptiness and inner silence—quieting the mind in the pursuit of harmony. On the front, the cut in the leaf, rendered in the color of skin, represents the wound that sometimes emerges precisely while we are seeking that harmony.
