We give voice to the artists who tell the story of Monferrato.
MonferrArte is a gallery dedicated to contemporary art rooted in the Monferrato region. It was born from the meeting of two women and two complementary skill sets: a curatorial eye shaped between fashion and territory, and a method built through digital storytelling.
Vera Dmitrieva
Vera Dmitrieva is the founder and curator of MonferrArte. Born in St. Petersburg, she earned a degree in Engineering and an MBA in her home city, building a hybrid background that pairs analytical rigor with strategic vision.
For over twenty years she worked in international fashion, leading marketing and communications for brands and collections — a path that sharpened her visual sensibility and her ability to read aesthetic value systematically: not as intuition, but as method.
Since 2011 she has lived in Europe, and since 2020 she has worked in Piedmont as a consultant specializing in auctioned real estate — work that brought her to know Monferrato in all its historical, architectural, and scenic depth.
MonferrArte was born from this convergence: an eye trained in fashion, a deep knowledge of the land, and the conviction that Monferrato deserves a contemporary narrative worthy of its visual complexity. The project is not a showcase, but a curatorial act — a selection of works that translate this land into an international language.
Roberta Viel
Roberta Viel is responsible for digital strategy and communications at MonferrArte. Born and raised in Asti, she has been tied since childhood to the wine and the land of Monferrato — a knowledge that comes from belonging before it comes from work, and that lets her tell its story from within.
For over twelve years she has worked in digital marketing, helping companies and professionals build their online presence — a path that turned expertise into method: reading a context, identifying its audience, and building the way for a project to reach those who can truly appreciate it.
At MonferrArte she puts this method at the service of Vera's curatorial vision: ensuring that the selection reaches the international audience it is meant for, and that the story of Monferrato does not stay confined within its own borders.
Monferrato is not a backdrop: it is the very material of the work.
